GARNOCK Rugby Club mini section recently travelled to Ardrossan to play hosts, Paisley and Kilmarnock.
The micros drew their first game and lost in their second game against Ardrossan. A close match followed against Kilmarnock and a draw was the final score. Well done to everyone who played including two who showed great promise.
The P4/5’s were spilt into two teams and won all their games. Highlights include the p5’s pulling in a 9-3 win over Ardrossan and a 13-2 win over a combined Ardrossan/Paisley team. Everyone produced very good team performances.
Meanwhile the P6/7’s played Ardrossan and Kilmarnock.
They beat Ardrossan in their first game but came up against a well-drilled Kilmarnock side in their second game.
The team did not let their heads go down and after being down five tries at half-time, came back on the pitch and scored a very good team try with some superb support play.
The Garnock team are improving every week and building on more and more positives.
