McBookie League Two
SALTCOATS VICTORIA 3
LANARK UNITED 6
POOR defending from the hosts saw them lose out to Lanark in a high-scoring encounter at Campbell Park.
They were up against a decent visiting side, who moved into fourth place with this victory.
The visitors took the lead early on, however Liam Ferguson levelled for the Seasiders.
Lanark then scored two unanswered goals to enjoy a two-goal cushion.
However player-boss Eva Bembo netted to reduce the deficit before the visitors went 4-2 up after the break.
Just after the interval, Lanark missed a penalty but then converted one.
They netted again before Trialist Yusuf Bamba scored a third goal for Saltcoats.
On this showing Vics can clearly score goals but their defensive frailties led to scoring opportunities for Lanark who deserved the win.
SALTCOATS VICTORIA: Wright; Kssonge, Omanu, Nasadi, Nguetsa, Farrell, Frame, Abdullah, Bembo, Ferguson, Watupa. Subs: Bernardo, Bamba, Elue, Obudane, Keran.
