UNLUCKY Buffs fell to defeat at Guy's Meadow, despite dominating much of the match.

The visitors had Ross Lundy in goals, with regular number one Adam Strain unavailable.

They got off to a great start in four minutes when Mark Curragh got in behind the defence and slotted past the home goalie.

Rob Roy levelled three minutes later through a powerful header from Michael Daly (who wasn’t meant to be playing but was drafted in due to an injury in the warm up!)

Lundy made a great block in 10 minutes.

Then in 24 minutes a low cross from Carlo Monti slotted home by Curragh to a make it 2-1. Curragh set up Monti who shot weakly at the goalie four minutes later.

On the half hour Joe Slattery levelled to make it 2-2. A Monti effort hit the side netting four minutes later.

In 28 minutes, a stunning fingertip save from Lundy stopped a shot going in the top corner.

Buffs kept pushing and in 40 minutes a Sam McCloskey shot was saved by Hutchison.

Just before half-time Curragh just failed to get on the end of a low cross from Ben Lewis.

Early in the second half, Lundy denied Jordan Currie-McLean

Then in 70 minutes from a Marc McKenzie cross, Curragh’s header was saved

Five minutes later at the other end, a Fleming shot from distance went over the bar

However in 78 minutes Buffs caught out in the left back position as Currie-McLea.

Buffs played well for long spells in the match and didn’t deserve to lose.
