THE budding young rugby stars of tomorrow had the chance to meet their idols of today as members of the Glasgow Warriors squad brought Scotstoun to the Memorial Field on October 23.

Current squad members Adam Nicol, Siua Halanukonuka, Tevita Tameilua, Scott Cummings, Paddy Kelly and DTH Van Der Merwe all came down to what was an enjoyable evening for all involved. The professionals put the young guns, aged from four to 18 through their paces on the pitch before heading inside to sign some much sought after autographs and answer the pressing questions the young Accies had for them.

This event follows on from years previous where the Warriors have ensured they give back to the local community and inspire the younger generation to try and get to the position they are in today. Glasgow are currently flying the flag for Scotland as they top their pool in the Top 14.

Everyone would at Ardrossan Accies RFC would like to thank the Glasgow Warriors players for giving up their time and coming down to the club. It was a successful evening enjoyed by all and who knows, it may have inspired some players who we will see in Warriors colours in the future!
