VOLUNTEERS have been out in force at Beechwood Park this morning to make sure Talbot's Scottish Cup tie on Saturday goes ahead.
Subzero temperatures have been forecast for the coming days so frost covers have been laid over the pitch to stop it from freezing.
A yellow be aware warning for ice has been issued by the Met Office for the whole of southern Scotland from 10pm tonight (Wednesday) until 11am tomorrow morning (Thursday).
Wullie Baxter posted these photos on Twitter, praising the volunteers for their hard work.
He said: "@atfc1909 invest in frost covers to ensure @ScottishCup tie v @AyrUnitedFC live on @BBCSport goes ahead, Talbot fan power made a fantastic effort this morning well done guys."
The match on Saturday is due to kick-off at 12.15pm with a place in the fifth round at stake.
