A MAJOR boost has been delivered to Kilwinning Rangers ahead of Saturday's Scottish Junior Cup clash with Linlithgow Rose, thanks to the generous efforts of a local company.
Reids Food Service in Dalry on Monday donated a wide selection of football fare to help compensate for food stolen during a break-in at Abbey Park in December.
And it should go down a treat at the game, which is set to attract a bumper 1,000-strong crowd.
Andy Reid, operations manager of the company said: "We heard about the break-in and decided we would like to help. We donated food products, including pies and Bovril and meat stew cups. The Kilwinning Rangers chairman is one of our customers and we are delighted to support the club."
Buffs chairman John Bennett said: "We appreciate any help that local businesses can give. We are really grateful to Reid Food Services for their support. and ook forward to the match. We are expecting a big crowd."
