The Clark Drive Girls U13s team turned in a good performance today against a young Kilbirnie side with everyone getting plenty of game time before the cup tie against Queen of the South 3s at Marress on Saturday.

Ciara, Josslyn, Morgan, Skye and Sophie stepped up from last year's Under-11s team and all looked comfortable and with Megan, Amiee and Cherie, adding experience.

Four U11s players - Jadyen, Amiee, Vanessa and Milly also helped out and out and did well. Thanks go to Kilbirnie for playing their part in an entertaining game.

Clark Drive Girls U15s welcomed Hamilton Accies to Marress for a pre-season game on Saturday.

Drive started the first half strongly with plenty of possession. They took the lead when Ayli McInnes netted her first goal for the team.

Accies equalised shortly before half-time with a looping shot.

The visitors started the second half stronger with a few shots on goal and some comfortable saves from the Drive goalie.

Drive then enjoyed lots of possession and pushed tirelessly for the second goal but the visiting keeper made some fine saves.

Hamilton took the lead through a cross from the left and slotted it home to go 2-1 ahead.

Drive pushed but could not find the equaliser. They hope to play Ayr on Saturday at a venue to be decided

A special mention goes to Amy Cox who captained the girls in her last game for Clark Drive. She has been outstanding for the team and everyone wishes her well as she moves on to pastures new.

The Drive Under-9s and 11s team are taking part in the KSC festival on Sunday.
