FURIOUS Ardrossan Winton Rovers boss Sandy MacLean has sensationally transfer-listed Darren Miller after the defender was given a double red card in Saturday's 4-3 defeat at Darvel.

And he is warning he will continue to get tough on discipline.

The player was sent packing in 77 minutes with his side 3-2 down, with team-mate Larry McMahon following a few minutes later.

It was the second straight defeat for the title favourites.

MacLean said: "I can confirm that Darren Miller is up for transfer because of his conduct. He was given a double red card on Saturday for an over-the ball challenge and an attempted head-butt on a player who was on the ground. That is unacceptable and we will listen to offers for him. I can't really argue with the Larry McMahon sending off and he will be fined. We really must improve our discipline as we have had five red cards in our last four games. It was another disappointing result after losing to Whitletts. But we have six cup finals coming up, starting with Kello away on Saturday and if we can win the games we are promoted. That is the target."

Meanwhile Kilbirnie Ladeside manager Mark Bradley was encouraged with his team's display as they defeated basement side Kilwinning Rangers 3-1 away to boost their survival hopes.

Bradley said: "I was pleased with how we played and it was good to see Adam Forde scoring a couple of goals. That's four or five braces he has had this season and we have other good players like Martin Grehan and Mark Staunton. It was an important game and good win as it moves us 10 points clear of Kilwinning. The aim is survival and if we can pick up two more wins, hopefully we will be safe. We are a good side - we must be to have won a cup competition."

Ladeside, who drew 2-2 with Garnock Valley rivals Beith the previous weekend, have a break from league duty on Saturday as they travel to Townhead Park to face Cumnock in the second round of the West of Scotland Cup.

Bradley said: "They beat us the other week in the league but we will hopefully get a result."

Beith manager Johnny Millar says his side are still in contention for the title, despite a second successive draw, with the Bellsdale Park club held 2-2 at Cumnock.

He said: "We had chances but didn't take them and must start winning games. We are in challenging and are four points behind Glenafton who are second and still have them to play at home."

Beith on Saturday face Largs Thistle in the second round of the West and Millar said: "They are struggling in the league but I expect a tough tie. Hopefully we will get through."

Millar's side on Monday defeated Neilston 2-0 in a friendly at Meadowside Park, Ross McPherson scoring both goals.
