FORM team Thistle continued their impressive start to the league with this comprehensive win at Maybole.

Maybole had the first chance when McMillan took advantage of some hesitation in the Dalry defence but his shot from the edge of the box went wide.

Dalry went straight to the other end and it was Kyle Cumming who shot wide from 30 yards.

In only nine minutes Maybole had to change goalkeeper, as Miller had been injured in the warm-up with Johnstone replacing him.

And the back-up goalie keeper was soon in action as he turned a Cumming shot round the post for a corner.

The opener came in15 minutes. Dylan Stevenson, on the right, was the provider of a low cross and it was turned in by Ian Cashmore.

Dalry were now full of confidence and man-of-the-match Cumming was causing real problems for the Maybole defence.

In 20 minutes Stevenson challenged the keeper and the ball broke towards goal but was cleared. Goal number two came in 26 minutes. Cumming was the provider from the right and it was Stevenson who got the touch to score.

Two minutes later Cashmore had a great opportunity right in front of goal but a great block by the keeper denied him.

Dalry were awarded a free-kick right on the 18-yard line but Lochhead sliced the kick well wide.

Stevenson had a shot well saved, turned over by the keeper, before from a corner the ball fell to Cumming who tried to place his shot in the bottom corner but it slipped just wide.

Maybole threatened in 44 minutes when Clark had a shot saved but Dalry increased their lead before the break. Cumming challenged for a 50-50 with the keeper and the ball broke to Cashmore to score.

Dalry had been totally dominant for the entire first half.

Into the second half and on 50 minutes Nimmo took a free kick for Maybole from 30 yards but is was an easy save for Blair Lochhead.

On 53 minutes it was 4-0. Cumming got the reward for his great display when he broke on the right and was cool to place a beautiful chip over the keeper and into the top corner of the net.

Maybole briefly threatened with two corners in quick succession, but they seldom troubled Dalry.

Cashmore had space in the box but he put his shot over the bar. Substitute Paul Byrne pulled a shot wide from only 10 yards.

Dalry saw several more chances come and go, a they ran out very comfortable winners. They were strong in defence, dominant in midfield and always dangerous upfront.
