LETHAL striker Thomas Collins hopes to help Beith complete a trophy double tonight (Wednesday) after blasting them into the West of Scotland Cup final.

But he will be depending on his team-mates to seal a potential treble without him on Friday when they line up in the Evening Times Champions Cup final.

Collins scored a double on Monday in the 4-0 West semi-final win against Darvel, which came 48 hours after the 4-1 Evening Times last four win, in which Kcnny McLean netted a hat-trick and Paul Frize also scored.

Next up for the Premier Division champions are the West final against Hurlford United tonight (Wednesday) and the Times final against Super First Division champions Petershill at New Tinto Park, Govan on Friday, which will be the last game of the season.

Collins has matched his age in goals, with his brace taking him to 21 so far.

He said: "It's great to reach two finals and that's the first time I have scored more than 20 goals in a season. We have done really well considering Kilwinning wrote us off. Hopefully we can win the West as it's the second biggest trophy in the game. We won it nine years ago and Kenny McLean, Andy Reid and John Sheridan are still here. I miss the Times final as I am in Berlin for my team-mate Kevin Macdonald's stag do but we will be keeping in touch and hopefully we can win."

Fellow striker Keir Milliken is also relishing the two big games.

He said: "The game on Friday will be our fourth in seven days, even the senior teams don't have to do that. There is no pressure on us, we have done well but it would be good to win a couple more trophies."

Added boss Johnny Millar: "The players have been fantastic. We are running a wee bit on empty but we have one last push in the final two games of the season. It would be good if we could win one or two more trophies to end the season."

Meanwhile Ardrossan Winton Rovers boss Stevie Wilson hopes to strengthen his squad and has targets in mind.
