PROUD Kilmarnock boss Kenny Shiels had great praise for his side, especially goalkeeper Cammy Bell as they clinched a first trophy in 15 years on Saturday.
A second half goal from Belgian Dieter Van Tornhout helped them defeat Celtic 1-0 in the Scottish Communities League Cup final at Hampden Park.
But his thoughts were instead very much with midfielder Liam Kelly whose dad tragically died after collapsing with a heart attack at the end of the match.
The gaffer said: "I'm sounding a bit sombre because I've gone from one emotional high to a low. It's tough to go from one of the best moments our lives to this. I am thinking very much of Liam and his family. He will get all the support he needs from the club.
On the game the boss said: "We haven't condeded a goal in the competition and everyone stuck to their job descriptions brilliantly. I said last week Cammny Bell's right up there with Allan McGregor and I'll say it again. We haven't conced ed a goal in the competition and it's a great achievement to win a trophy with a new team. But I don't want to feel good about myself right now, we're in a very difficult position."
