THE group trying to take control of Kilmarnock FC have hit out at the club's current owner, Michael Johnston.
The Ayrshire Business Group, headed by Killie Pie maker and Managing Director of Browning's the Bakers, John Gall, claim that Johnston is seeking a seven figure sum for the cash-strapped Ayrshire club.
In the statement, the group also accuse the Killie chairman of "blatant profiteering".
Johnston bought the club for 1 in 2005 and the group have insisted that he should be entitled to that price alone for any sale.
The group claim that Kilmarnock supporters clubs as well as The Killie Trust and The Young Killie Supporters Group have written to them in support of their takeover proposals.
