SHATTERED Kilmarnock boss Gary Locke will not give his players any time off in the next week, after this defeat at Fir Park left them anchored at the foot of the table.

The Rugby Park side were due some holidays, owing to the international break but the manager wants them in following another miserable performance.

Alarmingly they have taken just five of their last possible 45 points, stretching back to last season.

Locke said: “I don’t think we deserve time off, to be honest. We should be in working hard trying to put right the things we have been doing wrong. Hopefully we can work on things through the next two weeks. We will be in every day to rectify these errors.” Motherwell were awarded a disputed penalty in 13 minutes when Mark O’Hara was adjudged to have brought down Louis Moult inside the box, with the same player picking himself up and netting from the spot.

But Locke was angry at the decision and added: “I’ve seen it again and it’s not a penalty but we are on the wrong end of a bad decision. You could see by the reaction of our fans what they thought of it.” Lacklustre Killie created just one chance all afternoon - a Josh Magennis shot from a Rory McKenzie cut-back which was saved by Connor Ripley. Their fans had little reason to cheer and improvement is clearly needed.

STARMAN: Jamie MacDonald 3 Rory McKenzie 2 Darryl Westlake 1.
