FOUR-GOAL debutant David Winters was a one-man wrecking crew as 10-man Ladeside were toppled by a 'Lok side who are fighting for their lives.

The visitors got off to the worst possible start within five minutes of kick-off at Newlandsfield Park as goalkeeper Danny McLeay was adjudged to have caught the ball inside the area and former Dundee United and Ayr United man Winters drilled home the resultant free-kick.

Just two minutes later Ladeside levelled when Sean Pierce was pulled down inside the box and Chris Craig netted from the penalty spot. In 10 minutes McLeay failed to deal with a cross ball on the left hand side and Winters slotted home.

The game took another twist in 15 minutes when an overhead kick from Chris Hamilton went into the net off the left hand post. Five minutes later Kilbirnie were in front for the first time when Moore slipped a pass to Hamilton who slotted home. On the half hour the visitors were reduced to 10 men when Josh Mullin was given a straight red card for an over-the-ball challenge on Bradley.

'Lok equalised in 35 minutes when Winters slotted home to complete his hat-trick.

Just before half-time the hosts regained the lead, slotting home from the edge of the box. Then in 67 minutes they had a two-goal cushion as McLeay pulled down Winters inside the box and the striker dusted himself down to net from the penalty spot.

With seconds remaining the Garnock Valley side bagged a consolation goal as John Paul Boyle dispossessed former Irvine Meadow man Chris McGowan and shot into the top right hand corner of the net.
