Stevenston's John McCafferty in action
FORMER Irvine AC athlete John McCafferty has been selected to represent Great Britain for the first time.
He has been named in the GB team for an Under-20 event later this week.
It was his fantastic performance in setting a new Scottish record at the AAA Champioships of England in January that led to his national selection.
