BRAEHEAD CLAN forward Joe Cullen believes beating Nottingham Panthers on Saturday could be the key to achieving second place in the Rapid Solicitors Elite League.

Games are running out and with the recently deposed league champions coming to Glasgow, it’s going to be a tough ask for Ryan Finnerty’s troops.

Cullen reckons the team that lost to Edinburgh on Sunday will be different to the one that will take on Corey Neilson’s side.

He said: “We all know this is a humungous game for us on Saturday and it’s important we come out strong and play at our best.

“We want second spot in the league and I think winning this will go a long way to helping us towards that.

“They’re a team that knows how to win after clinching the league last season and with only six games left to play, it’s a must for us.

“We were all frustrated after Edinburgh on Sunday and I think we’ll be a different team from that and we’ll be a unit that will be tough to play against.” The Nottingham Panthers are visitors to Braehead Arena on Saturday (7.00pm face-off). Tickets are available now via the Braehead Arena box office, by calling 0844 499 1700 or via braeheadclan.com.
