THIS week saw the League leaders Bar One pay a visit to third placed Bobby’s in what is usually a very tight match up.

However it was the Bar One who came out on top after a great start saw them lead 6-0 after the singles matches. A mini fight back from Bobby’s saw them collect a couple of points but it was the defending Champions from the Bar One who ran away with an 8-2 victory to remain firmly on top of the table and keep their 100 per cent winning record intact.

In the SNACK EXPRESS ‘Game of the Week’ it was Castlehill Vaults who were victorious with a 6-4 win at home to Jacks Corner ‘A’. A result that sees Castlehill Vaults pick up only their second win of this seasons campaign and lifts them off the bottom of the table for the first time this season.

Bar One ‘B’ kept up their pressure on the League Leaders after a 10-0 win at home to Cross Keys, which sees them sitting firmly in 2nd spot. The Elms also were in fine form and matched the 10-0 score line as they overcame Jacks Corner ‘B’. The Nonsuch put on another great performance as they took on 4th placed Alton. However it was the visitors from Kilwinning who clinched the last leg to scrape a 6-4 win. A result which sends the Nonsuch to the foot of the table. In the last match up it was the battle of the Windy Ha as the ‘A’ team took on the ‘B’ squad. Last time out it was the ‘B’ team who came out on top with a 7-3 victory.

This time, however the roles were reversed as the Windy Ha ‘A’ secured the win by the same 7-3 scoreline. Next week sees the League battle it out for the BELHAVEN BEST League Doubles.
