GARNOCK entertained high-flying Accies in their latest league encounter on a dreich Saturday afternoon.
The corresponding fixture last November resulted in a victory for Accies by 12-7 but the result was in doubt until the last whistle. The match day programme hinted that a Garnock victory could not be counted out - how prophetic.
Garnock kicked off uphill towards the whisky bonds, Accies knocked on and Garnock won the scrum through Chris O'Donnell. The drove towards the Accies try line but were stopped illegally when Accies collapsed the maul. Referee Morris had no hesitation in awarding Garnock a penalty.
