FALKIRK were Accies’ opponents for the fifth game of the league campaign.

Falkirk were currently sitting three points immediately above them in the table . Accies team included Callum McKechnie back after injury but Jamie McKee was unavailable and Peter Gossman was a late call off due to the impending birth of his and Jenna’s first child.

In dry conditions Falkirk kicked off the match , Gordon Telfer received the ball and passed to Allan Wilson who shipped the ball to Andy Duncan for a punt upfield . Falkirk gathered and launched an attack into the Accies half where they were awarded the first of their numerous penalties of the match. They kicked to touch for an attacking lineout but a squint throw in gave Accies a scrum, again Accies were penalised and No 11 Richard Sievwright kicked the penalty to put Falkirk 3-0 in front after five minutes.
