THE new Ardrossan Health Centre is nearing completion and its first users will be walking through the door on Tuesday, May 27.

The first occupants will be the South Beach Surgery which will reopen in the new centre as South Beach Medical Centre.

Patrick Wiggins, Chief Executive of Irvine Bay Regeneration Company said: “We are delighted to see the new medical centre for Ardrossan nearing completion, which will be of benefit to local residents and a real asset for the town.

“Bringing this formerly derelict site back into use as a doctors’ surgery and healthcare centre is a great example of how buildings can be regenerated to provide vital services for the local area.” Surgery opening hours remain the same, however, there will be a new appointment system operating from the opening date. GP appointments will now be bookable on the day. In addition to this, there will be some pre-bookable appointments available. An open evening is planned and further details of this will be published soon. The surgery’s telephone number remains as 01294 463011.

The other occupants of the building are still to be confirmed by the NHS.
