ARDROSSAN Coastguard was called to Stevenston Point on Monday night to rescue two jet skier who had got into difficulty.
The two skiers had reachedt the shore by the time the rescue team arrived at the scene around 8pm but were taken to Crosshouse Hospital suffering from hypothermia after receiving first aid at the scene.
A lifeboat recovered the jet ski and towed it to shore.
A spokesman for Ardrossan Coastguard said: “With both casualties en route to hospital and the jet ski safely recovered, the team thereafter returned to station.”
