ARDROSSAN’S ‘Town Centre’ has long been known as Glasgow Street and now this has been made official with new signs being erected by North Ayrshire Council.
The well known street which stretches from Parkhouse Road at the top, to Princes Street at the bottom is always a hub of activity and houses many commercial properties, houses and two churches as well as off-shooting to many other areas of the town.
You can now see at both the top and bottom of the street double-sided signs pointing in the direction of the famous road.
A North Ayrshire Council spokesperson said: “I can confirm that Roads and Transportation have recently erected two double sided `Glasgow Street` direction signs, one at either end of Glasgow Street.
“This is the principal commercial street within Ardrossan and the signs were provided to clearly indicate to visitors the location of Glasgow Street.
"No other signs are due to be erected at this location.”
