TWO Herald staff members have braved the shave to raise funds for Macmillan nurses.
Margaret Graham, from advertising, and photographer Charlie Gilmour shaved their heads as part of the national campaign.
And they have already raised an astonishing £600 together for the charity.
Margaret said: “A year ago, I was diagnosed with cancer. After treatment, my hair was just starting to grow back to a lovely length, but I decided to cut it right back again for Macmillan.
“They are fantastic and people just don’t know how much work they do.
“We have raised around £600 so far and I would encourage everyone to donate to Macmillan to support their work.”
Charlie added: “I wanted to raise awareness of such a worthy cause. Our initial target was £200 but we have already surpassed that. We’d like to thank everyone who has donated so far.”
