A COUNCILLOR has welcomed plans to bring the Scottish Benefit Agency to North Ayrshire.

The Scottish Government announced in March 2016 their intention to establish a new Benefits Agency for Scotland on the back of additional powers that have been devolved to Scotland.
Speaking this week, Councillor McPhater said: “One of the priority issues coming through from the new locality partnerships is work and the local economy which demonstrates that people across North Ayrshire see job creation as the key to building a better North Ayrshire.”
