POLICE in North Ayrshire are appealing for anyone with information in relation to the theft of two cars in West Kilbride earlier this week.

Overnight, between Wednesday, September 28 and Thursday, September 29, a property on Portencross Road was broken into and a Grey BMW 520 was stolen.

On the same night, a property was targeted on Overton Drive and a Silver Mini was stolen.

Detective Constable David Nisbet from Ayrshire Housebreaking Investigation Unit said:

“We are carrying out house to house enquiries and checking all available CCTV in order to trace the person or persons responsible for this crime.

“I would appeal to anyone who saw anybody in the area or noticed anyone acting suspiciously or out of place to get in touch.

“I would also like to remind all local residents to remain vigilant, and secure their property at all times. Any suspicious persons should be reported to the police.
