TWO men who got into a rammy at a Glasgow hospital were forced to face each other again in the dock.

Gordon Cochrane and James Stirton were not known to each other when they clashed at the Royal Infirmary on October 13.

Stirton, 26, of Scotsburn Road in Barmulloch, was at the hospital with his wife when Cochrane, 51, turned to him and asked “what the f*** are you looking at?”

He then grabbed a leg off one of the chairs in the waiting room to attack Stirton with before the pair became involved in a physical fight.

When police witnesses arrived, Stirton was seen pushing, shoving and throwing punches at the 51-year-old.

He then climbed up on a chair and shouted: “Do you know who I am? I’ll put you in the ground and I’ll cut you up you old p***k”.

Cochrane was heard responding “come ahead you wee c*** I’ll kick your c*** in”.

Both men were apprehended by police and appeared from custody at Glasgow Sheriff Court for sentencing.

The court heard how Cochrane, of Queens Park Drive, had fallen out with his partner before the incident.

Stirton’s solicitor added that his client had been at the hospital “minding his own business” when Cochrane aggravated him.

Sheriff Reid sentenced both men to six months in prison.
