A STEVENSTON pair admitted stealing 14 bottles of alcohol from the same store on separate occasions.
Derek McIntyre, 26, and Gemma Darby 32, both of Burnbank Street, Stevenston pled guilty to four charges of theft when they appeared before Kilmarnock Sheriff Court on Tuesday, January 23.
The pair stole three bottles of whisky at the town’s Morrisons store, Kilwinning road on August 29, 2017.
At the same store the pair pilfered another three bottles of whisky on September 12, 2017.
On November 14, 2017 the couple struck again, stealing four bottles of vodka.
The next week on November 21, 2017 they returned and took another four bottles of vodka.
Court papers state that all four offences were committed while Gemma Darby was on bail for another offence, with it having been granted on June 5, 2017.
The case was adjourned for the court to receive a Drug Assessment Report and the pair will return for sentencing at a later date.
