Kilwinning Academy pupils were sent home this morning (Wednesday, February 28) due to a staff shortage as severe weather conditions continue to disrupt travel.
Pupils from S1-S3 were sent home from the school at around 10.30am, North Ayrshire Council confirmed.
It is thought that the lack of staff was due to the severe travel disruptions caused by the 'Beast from the East' weather conditions.
A spokesman for North Ayrshire Council said: "Pupils in S1-S3 were sent home due to staffing issues."
