A MAN threw bottles of Irn-Bru at supermarket security staff after they caught him shoplifting in Glasgow City Centre.
Andrew Michie, 33, appeared from custody in the dock at Glasgow Sheriff Court for sentencing.
He admitted that he did steal alcohol from Tesco on Hope Street on May 5, this year.
He also plead guilty to two further charges. He accepted that he shouted, swore at staff members and utter threats of violence to them.
He also culpably and recklessly threw a glass bottle towards people, and did thereby expose them to risk of injury.
The court heard that the Irn-Bru bottles were plastic.
Michie, of no fixed abode, was referred to the alcohol court.
His defence agent said his client was desperate for help to address his problem with alcohol. Sentence was deferred to July.
