HUNDREDS of bikers gathered in Ardrossan recently for the wedding of two motorcycle enthusiasts on Castle Hill.
Jim Conlin and Ailsa McLachlan tied the knot in a beautiful humanist ceremony conducted by Annette McGurran in the castle grounds.
Around 70 bikes ridden by members of the Blue Angels Motorcycle Club drove in a spectacular procession for the ceremony last Saturday (June 9).
Ailsa, who is from Stevenston, told the Herald: “It was fantastic, we couldn’t have asked for anything better.
“My man’s a biker, I’m a biker, so there was no other way to do it.
“Jim’s always on his bike, he doesn’t drive. He’s been on bikes since he was about nine and I’ve been a biker for about 14 years.”
George McGrattan, from Ardrossan Castle Heritage Society, added: “The Heritage Society wishes Jim and Ailsa a long and happy marriage.”
