Trains have been disrupted across the country - affected services between Ayr and Glasgow, as well as services for the Three Towns

An hourly service will run between Glasgow Central and Ayr, departing Glasgow on the hour and from Ayr at 15 minutes past the hour calling all stations.

Scotrail say due to severe weather at Saltcoats disruption is expected until 4pm today.

Train services between Glasgow Central and Ardrossan Harbour will be suspended due to severe weather at Saltcoats, train services from Glasgow Central heading towards Ardrossan South Beach and Largs have been suspended.

This is due to high winds and sea spray causing the overhead wires to trip. Passengers travelling to Largs and Ardrossan are advised to travel on the Glasgow Ayr services to Kilwinning to connect with a bus shuttle in place running between Kilwinning / Largs and Ardrossan.
