Pupils at Stanley Primary learned about rock pools during a visit to Ardrossan North Shore Beach recently.
The children did pond dipping with members of the Community of Arran Seabed Trust (COAST).
Lesley Richardson, teacher at Stanley Primary School, said: “P2 and P3 were doing the Lighthouse Keeper’s Lunch and the Seashore as their topic. As part of the topic, they went down to North Shore Beach.
“They were met by two of the people who work for COAST and they explained to them all about the different sea creatures that live there.”
