P6 pupils from Caledonia Primary School completed a fun introductory course in bowling.
Over three weeks, the children learned about the sport on the greens of Saltcoats Bowling Club under the leadership of Bowls Scotland coach, George Miller.
The course was part of Bowls Scotland’s Try Bowls, a national campaign to promote the sport and encourage a whole new generation of people to play the game.
The class are pictured after being presented with their certificate for completing the Try Bowls course.
Pictured alongside the pupils is Irene Edgar, who represented Scotland in Para Lawn Bowls at the Commonwealth Games in Australia’s Gold Coast.
Irene gave the pupils an insight into international bowls and passed around the medals she had won over many years representing Scotland.
