WEST Kilbride Primary’s summer fair was a huge success, raising well over £2,000.
The event in the hall raised an impressive £2652.64 for school funds.
And the event, on Saturday, June 16, was extra special as it marked the end of an era for two hard working ladies.
Teacher Mrs Stubbs is retiring after nine years and Holly Woodhouse, who organised the fair, is stepping down as chairperson of the parent council.
Liz Sommerville, head teacher at West Kilbride Primary, said: “It was an amazing turnout even with the weather.
“Everybody had a great day.
“This is the last year for the parent council chair Holly Woodhouse as she is stepping down.
“She’s run these fairs – I think this is her sixth one – every year. “The parent council help support our STEM events. These fundraisers make these things possible.”
