A reformed group of WASPI activist women will hold their inaugural meeting later this month.
The founder members of Ayrshire WASPI, Ann Fraser, Johann Hobson, Susan Bolland and Maggie Wallace have set up a new group Cunninghame WASPI, following the ongoing campaign delays resulting from the national board member disputes.
The group will be active in the area and encourage any 1950s born women that have been affected by the accelerated changes to state pension ages; to fight the Department of Work and Pensions by starting a maladministration complaint.
Their inaugural meeting will be held on Monday, July 30 from 6pm to 8pm in The Wheatsheaf Inn, 70 Portland Street, Kilmarnock.
Support and help in completing the complaint process will be available to current and new members born in the 1950s.
All 1950s born women will be most welcome to the first meeting.
