POLICE are on the hunt for three men after they broke into a petrol station at the weekend.
Officers responded to a call from staff members at the Esso Garage in Glasgow Street, Ardrossan on Sunday morning after the alarm had been activated and signs of a forced entry were visible.
A number of cigarettes were stolen and three suspects have been captured on CCTV with enquiries ongoing.
Chief Inspector Brian Shaw said: “We have seen similar targeted housebreakings where cigarettes have been stolen in large quantities and we will give additional attention and visits to premises in the local area.
“There is nothing to say that this is not an isolated incident and anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101.
