MEMBERS of the public are being invited to check out up-to-date plans for the redevelopment of Ardrossan Harbour.

An engagement event is to be held at Ardrossan Civic Centre on Wednesday, October 24. The aim is to provide an update to residents on how proposals for the harbour are shaping up, giving visitors the chance to ask questions. It is expected that representatives from Transport Scotland, Calmac, CMAL, Peel Ports and North Ayrshire Council will be present.

North Ayrshire Council Leader Joe Cullinane said: “These sessions will allow people to see our hopes and vision for the future of Ardr ossan Harbour as well as the benefits it will bring to residents of Arran.

“We want Ardrossan Harbour to be a quality destination that attracts tourists and visitors alike and supports growth through stronger links to Ardrossan town centre."

The session will run from 4.30-6.30pm at the civic centre in Ardrossan on Wednesday, October 24. It will be a drop-in event. A session will be held in Brodick Hall, on Arran, on October 23.
