AN Employment Fayre held in the Garnock Valley has been hailed as a success.
Organised by Kenneth Gibson MSP and Patricia Gibson MP and held in Beith, various national and local companies were there on the day to speak to locals about potential jobs.
Mr Gibson said: “Patricia Gibson MP and I are delighted that last Friday’s Employment Fayre in Beith that we organised and hosted - our ninth since 2013 - was so successful.
“Fifty-five employers participated including BT Openreach, Loganair and the Royal Navy to the Forestry Commission, to Malcolm Construction, EDF and Rolls Royce. Such events present an opportunity for people looking for a job, apprenticeships and training to actually meet and chat informally with a host of employers who have vacancies.
“The attendees and employers certainly found it a valuable experience.”
