THE Scottish SPCA is appealing to animal lovers in Ayrshire to donate vegetables and washing powder for the wildlife in their National Wildlife Centre in Fishcross.
Scotland’s animal welfare charity is caring for many wild animals that have been rescued or born into their care.
The charity’s centre in Fishcross rescued over 9,600 wild animals last year.
Wildlife Centre Manager, Colin Seddon said: “We are constantly caring for a large number of Scotland’s wild animals and because of this, we are struggling to keep up with the demand for fresh vegetables and washing powder.
“We are very lucky that people regularly hand in items to our centre.
“We hope kind-hearted locals will get behind our appeal as it would make lots of animals very happy.”
Fresh vegetables and washing powder can be handed into the Scottish SPCA Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre in Millview, No. 4 Holding, Mainholm, Ayr KA6 5HD between 10am-4pm (closed Tuesday).
