THE body of a man was discovered on a beach yesterday (Tuesday) near to Ardrossan.
Shortly after 2pm on Tuesday, December 18, the body of a man was found on the shore near to Ardrossan Road in Seamill.
The death is being treated as unexplained and a formal identification has yet to be carried out.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "We can confirm the body of a man was found on the shore near to Ardrossan Road, Seamil about 2.12pm on Tuesday, 18 December.
"A post mortem will be carried out to establish the cause of death. The death is being treated as unexplained, and a formal identification has yet to be carried out."
