‘Elves’ working at Auchenharvie Filling Station helped raise over £700 for Cash for Kids by raffling off a giant Kevin the Carrot.
Staff – and a dog – at the Stevenston garage donned their festive gear, alongside colleagues at the company’s Fairlie store, who raffled off a soft toy of an orangutan called George.
Billy Smith, a taxi driver from Stevenston, was the lucky winner of Kevin and a Mrs Herron in Fairlie won George.
Manager of both stores, Sharon McCourt, said: “In total between the two sites we raised £729. It’s been really good this year. We’ve done it a couple of times before, but it’s never been anything like this.
“All the staff have been dressing up. One at Fairlie dressed as an orangutan to match the prize. I couldn’t get a carrot onesie otherwise I would have dressed as that!
“Millie my springer spaniel dressed up as well. She was an elf.”
