DOGS could have a field day in Stevenston if a plan to let them run free gets the go-ahead.
There is a bid to provide a dedicated field for owners to let their canine companions off the leash for exercise.
Resident Juanita Brown, who owns the 0.8 hectare field, has lodged plans with North Ayrshire Council to get permission for the idea.
A description of the proposal said: “Dogs can run off the lead in a safe and secure environment. Owners remain with their dogs at all times.”
The field would be enclosed and accessed through three gates according to planning documents. And the boundary fence would be 1.8 metres in height.
The site lies east of Greenhead Holdings in Stevenston and is near to Ardeer Golf Course. No decision has been made yet on the planning application.
