A WOMAN is due to appear in court in connection with the robbery of a 90-year-old woman in Saltcoats last week.
Police confirmed this evening that a 29-year-old had been arrested and charged. She is expected to appear at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court tomorrow (Wednesday).
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "A 29-year-old woman has been arrested and charged in connection with a robbery on a 90-year-old woman in Saltcoats on Tuesday, January 15.
"The 29 year-old woman is due before Kilmarnock Sheriff Court on Wednesday, January 23.
"Officers would like to thank the local community for their assistance with their earlier appeals."
