AMBITIOUS Ayr United manager Ian McCall has made his second signing of the January transfer window.
He has brought in winger Nicky Cadden (22) on loan from Livingston for the rest of the season as the Honest Men aim to rekindle their title challenge following a poor run.
The boss said “Nicky played a lot of games in the Championship last season when Livingston got promotion. He fits the profile in terms of the type of boy and age we are looking for. He can play on the left or the right and has real pace. Nicky is coming in on loan but you never know what might happen in the future. We are delighted to get him.”
Nicky was with Motherwell as a youth before signing with Airdrie in 2013. He left there at the end of the 2015-16 season and signed for Livingston. He then played an integral part in the Livingston team that won League One in the 2016-17 season and then won promotion to the Premiership after the playoffs in the 2017-18 season.
