A SUCCESSFUL charity mini-football tournament was recently staged at Kilwinning Academy.
North Ayrshire Colts hosted the event which saw them join forces will Winton Rovers and Tass Thistle 2008s to play two hours of football all for charity. The charity of the day will be MND Scotland, who support research into work on Motor Neurone Disease.
The event helped raise more than £2000 for the charity.
A raffle was held to win a framed Celtic shirt signedand this alone secured £490.
Donations were made by a whole host of companies for the main raffle, including two tickets for a Kilmarnock FC game, while Homebase and the Indian restaurant at Lawthorn Farm also offered prizes. A tour of Ibrox was donated and 12 pizzas were gifted to the players at the tournament by Domino's Pizza.
