Community archaeology dig at Ardrossan Castle
BUDDING archaeologists can take part in a community dig with Ardrossan Castle Heritage Society.
The society and Garnock Connections have announced the dates for the second phase of their archaeological dig.
The event is part of the Garnock Connections Community Heritage and Archaeology Project (CHAP), delivered by Northlight Heritage.
The first phase of the project started in September and involved the exploration of Castle Hill.
The dates for the next phase are: Tuesday, May 14 – Saturday, May 18, and Tuesday, May 21 – Saturday, May 25. Times are 9am-4pm each day.
