SEABANK Care Home could soon be re-opening following a number of bids from interested parties.
Christie and Co, a specialist property advisors, had the site listed for sale following the shock closure last year amid alleged financial mismanagement.
It has now been confirmed that potential buyers have lodged their bids in an attempt to re-open the home.
The Canal Street home was listed for £2.75million and the sellers confirmed bids had been received.
A spokesperson for Christie and Co said: “A number of offers have been received for Seabank and the plan is for it to be sold and re-registered as a care home.”
A total of 89 jobs were lost when the closure was announced with staff being made redundant in a saga which saw some staff fail to receive wages.
