A Dalry company has launched a search for ambitious young people as part of its Modern Apprenticeship (MA) programme.

DSM Nutritional Products is looking for apprentices to start their career in process operations and manufacturing in the science and technology sector.

Apprentices on the MA programme will gain experience across a variety of the site operations areas in Vitamin C and B5, and Utilities (Power Generation and Waste Water Treatment). In addition, during the three-year programme, apprentices will require to have successfully passed a level 3 SVQ in Process Manufacturing together with City and Guilds Chemical Process Operations (level 2).

Jill Faure, human resource manager at DSM, said: “Our site in Dalry has gone from strength to strength over the last few years, and our continued investment and the global demand for our products make us a great choice for young people thinking about their future careers.

“The programme offers a dynamic mix of on-the-job skills development and academic learning. Over the course of the three years, our apprentices are provided with a wide range of opportunities to develop the theoretical and practical skills needed for a thriving career in our industry, and many of our previous apprentices have gone on to very successful careers in the company.

“This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a world leading company, based here in North Ayrshire, and DSM Nutritional Products offers one of the best salary and development packages for apprentices in the area.”

The closing date for applications is 5pm on Friday, April 12. Applicants can apply online at http://bit.ly/dsmapprenticeshipsscotland2019.
