“I wish he had felt able to share it with me. I wish there was something, anything I could do to get him back, to change the past and erase whatever it was. I so regret that I didn’t tell him how much I loved him and how proud I was of him, every single day til it was etched deep into his soul.”

Mandy explained how he was a successful youngster in Taekwando and at verse speaking adding: “When he was younger he won many verse speaking competitions, including the North Ayrshire Burns competition. His verse speaking skills were legendary and loved by everyone at Hallowe’en when they would get a rousing rendition of “Scots Wha Hae” or “Address to a Haggis”.

“Fireun dedicated himself to fitness. He won sports championship at the high school. He won several Taekwando awards including two golds and a silver in the European Championships 2018. He could achieve anything he put his mind to.”
