A Saltcoats teen made it to the final in a fantasy-themed card tournament which enabled him to donate £150 to North Ayrshire Women’s Aid.
Student Jamie McBlane, 17, was runner-up in the Spellbound Memorial Cup playing Magic: The Gathering.
Winners get £300 to donate to charity, but Jamie and eventual champ Luke Greenslade had agreed to split the cash.
Jamie’s mum Ashley Fisher said: “I’m super proud of him, he’s got a heart of gold. He’s now trying to get a sponsor for his big game in London.”
